Welcome to Lake Chabot Junior Golf Academy

The Lake Chabot Junior Golf Academy is a Community base, non-profit organization, with the sole purpose of helping the whole child through the game of golf. We not only teach golf but uses golf as a vehicle to work with our youth so they can learn how to be more productive citizens.

Lake Chabot Junior Golf Academy

At the Lake Chabot Junior Golf Academy (LCJGA) we not only teach the youths golf but help them achieve their goals through the game of golf and in life. With this in mind and the whole child concept, we endeavor to provide the youths that show promise in golf a way to achieve and grow through the game of golf. We also provide our youth who don’t excel in golf or have limitations, assess to the concept of golf that make them feel like they can be successful and assist them with other issues that they might need help with.

Testimonial

Lake Chabot Junior Golf Academy

My nine year old son, Mason, has attended the Lake Chabot Junior Golf Academy since April 2008. It is something he wanted to do, so I was grateful that we stumbled upon the program and that the academy was willing to accommodate him.

Our Story

The Lake Chabot Junior Golf Academy (LCJGA) is now into its 20th year of service to the youth in the community. The program and/or its certified golf coaches have produced 31 Certified golf-teaching professionals and scores of college graduates (many of whom have returned to the program to contribute value). Additionally, The LCJGA has produced one of the only two African-American PGA teaching pros in the state of California.

At the LCJGA we believe in helping the whole child, which we means that we try and find ways to help our youth both mentally and physically.

The LCJGA in conjunction with the Lake Chabot Golf course in Oakland, California employs the game of golf and its rules to enhance the outlook of youth to become the best that they can be.
